THE RESTORATION
I will be showing mostly completed items. Its hard to take pictures of before and after when restoring a Violano being that there are so many things happening at one time. ( I multi-task) :-)

Notice the top molding trim piece is removed. Over the years of the case being re-finished the trim was left on and had very bad scratches going against the grain.
VIOLIN
When at all possible it is best to leave the original finish on the Violin. After carefully gluing back any loose joints the surface is hand rubbed to achieve the finish you see. The sound post was also positioned at a good starting point and will most likely be reset several times to achieve the optimal sound quality and volume in which most overlook or don't take the time to perfect the violin. Every little bit counts!
FINGERS
This is the most important part. Great care and precision has to be taken when rebuilding the finger assembly.
